upstream processes, Hanene is currently a Senior Advanced Process Control Engineer at Aspen
Technology, Inc.

MONGI DHAOUADI

President of Tunisian United Network

Mongi Dhaouadi was born and raised in Tunisia and moved to the US when he was 19 years old to study Electrical Engineering.

Currently, Dhaouadi serves as the Executive Director of the Libyan American Alliance (LAA)  and the president of the Tunisian United Network (TUN). Both LAA and TUN are leading voices for democracy, human rights, and good governance in Libya and Tunisia respectively. 

Mr. Abdelhamid Kalai

Mr. Kalai is an efficient civil engineering / project management consultant with more than 35 years of experience in managing the design, and delivery of infrastructure projects specifically bridges, structures, roadways, facilities, and buildings with extensive technical, administrative, and project experience.

Amir Koubaa

Senior Academic Advisor at SABIC Americas

Amir Koubaa was born and raised in Sfax, Tunis, and came to the United States at the age of 19 to pursue his undergraduate and graduate studies in Civil Engineering. 

After completing his PhD’s studies, Dr. Koubaa worked with 3M as a consultant and the University of Minnesota as a Research Associate. Then, he joined the University of Pittsburgh as a member of their faculty. He taught undergraduate and graduate courses and led the academic operations for the Civil Engineering department.

 Dr. Koubaa was one of the founders and board member of two K-12 institutions to serve the Muslim communities in both Minneapolis and Pittsburgh. He also served as the president of the Islamic Center of Pittsburgh.

 Dr. Koubaa currently lives in Houston, Texas and works in the area of higher education and quality assurance for corporate learning in the Petrochemical industry

Amira Tastouri

Entrepreneur and Project Management professional

Amira Tastouri, a passionate entrepreneur and project management professional, holds a Bachelor’s degree in Entrepreneurship. Upon completing her studies, she embarked on a remarkable journey by establishing her own web development and e-commerce company. For a successful span of five years, Amira skillfully managed her business before relocating to the United States, where she continued to assist numerous clients with their digital ventures.

During her time in Tunisia, Amira held the esteemed position of Vice President within a highly active charitable association. With unwavering dedication, she tirelessly supported various organizations worldwide in promoting their campaigns, initiatives, and events. Amira’s deep-rooted advocacy focused on aiding those in need and striving to improve their quality of life. Following the Tunisian revolution in 2011, she channeled her efforts towards promoting Tunisian democracy.

Currently residing in New York with her husband and four children, Amira has actively engaged in volunteering, particularly during the challenging times of the Covid pandemic.
