Tunisians in the U.S. Rally to Save Tunisia’s Democracy and Protest Saied’s Dictatorship

(Washington, D.C., 2/25/2022) The Tunisian United Network (TUN) has organized a rally with Tunisians from the United States and Canada to call on the United States to take a tougher stance on Tunisia and to “Save Tunisia’s Democracy.”
After gathering in front of the White House, Tunisians and allies will march to the Tunisian Embassy to protest against President Kais Saied’s dictatorship and send a message that Tunisians are against the coup which took place on July 25th.

TUN President Mongi Dhaouadi affirms that “We must come together in Washington to send a clear message to Kais Saied that Tunisians stand united in demanding the return of constitutional order, respect for human rights, commitment to the rule of law, and to move the country forward in the right direction.”
